Essex Charity FC

Formed in 2019, Essex Charity was set up to help charities nationwide, as well as the local community in vital fundraising efforts.

A key part of the charity team is also being able to offer football opportunities for all, regardless of ability, which we applaud.

Ice Breaker Questions:

Manager: Dean Parker

Club Captain: Spencer King

Preferred Formation: It’s a secret

Kit Colours: Navy & Blue (Home) & Maroon & Gold (Away)

Home Ground: The Simarco Stadium (Witham Town FC)

Professional Player You’d Sign: Cristiano Ronaldo – Half our players like to think they can play ball like Ronaldo when in truth it couldn’t be further from it.

Essex Charity, like all teams right now are looking forward to being back on the pitch playing the game they love, whilst also raising money for some fantastic causes. They have some exciting fixtures coming up, with an unbelievable opportunity for supporters (once allowed) to get a free season ticket and watch the team in action.

Achievements:

The team has done amazing in their fundraising efforts with over £8,000 raised to date for various charities, which is set to grow in 2021 as football returns. The team aims to continue in their fundraising efforts across the UK, whilst being a platform for local players of all abilities to be able to play the game they love.

To help them in their efforts, they have a proud ambassador who you might have heard of if you was a Bad Education or Hollyoaks fan. Charlie Wernham has recently come on board to support the charity in his role as ambassador and also as a player.

Another huge achievement linked to Essex Charity is the role they have played in setting up the National Affinity Cup with their good friends at Nightingale FC. As we mentioned in the first Getting to Know blog, the competition is the biggest in charity football and is quickly getting noticed nationwide for the incredible support to charities.
